By the mid 1990’s, Allstar Magnetics had developed into a JIT (just in time) stocking distributor offering 11 major ferrite franchised lines, a full range of custom permanent magnet materials, and custom designed Magnet Assemblies. Today, Allstar uses its depth of knowledge of all things magnetic to streamline critical elements of the product lifecycle. Focusing on crucial value added needs like design, prototyping, and volume wound solutions, has helped Allstar Magnetics to develop into a leader in next generation distribution services.

Tyee Harpster is President of Allstar Magnetics joining the team in September 2014. He brings over 20 years of experience and education with a strong focus on strategic operations and new business development. He has a successful background using skills in sales & business development, manufacturing, operations, team building, and more to help propel both financial performance and organizational growth. Mr. Harpster holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BA from Cornell University. Tyee is also a Senior Fellow at the American Leadership Forum of Oregon and sits on the board of multiple non-profit organizations in the Portland metro community
Heidi Jeffries is the Controller at Allstar Magnetics having joined the team in July 2013. Heidi brings over 20 years of valued experience in Business Management and Accounting and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Washington State University. Heidi is an essential part of the management team providing effective leadership inclusive of daily operations, Human Resources, and those in the Accounting Group. Fueled by a daily Non-Fat iced latte, Heidi is Allstar’s all-around dynamo who consistently drives the company forward on many fronts.
Sales Manager – Assembly and Value Added Services
Dan Pizarro is the Sales Manager for the Assembly and Value Added Services Group at Allstar Magnetics. He has been an integral part of the team since 2002. Dan brings over 16 years of technology experience working with design, material specifications, and applications. His role at Allstar Magnetics includes managing sales, value added production, special projects, purchasing, and playing lead bass as a member of CNC Mayhem. He is also recognized as a Six Sigma certified maker of PB&J sandwiches for his children
Sales Manager – Ferrites
Mike Martin is the Sales Manager for Allstar’s Ferrite Material Group. A 18 year veteran with the company, Mike has helped lead the company’s growth occupying roles of leadership in purchasing, quality control, and sales. As head of ferrite sales Mike helps to guarantee that inventory levels are in concert with customer demand and continued excellence in customer service is maintained. He remains known throughout the region for his 1930 Plymouth U and impressive billiards skills.
Sales Manager – Permanent Magnetics
Rob Paar serves as founder and leader for the Permanent Magnetics Group at Allstar Magnetics. Rob’s influence in helping to develop markets for rare earth permanent magnetics can be traced back 28 years and originates with his involvement at firms like Dexter and Crucible. Rob continues to assist our customers through design verification, optimal material selection, and time to market options. His grasp of the physics that make each application of permanent magnetics different is unparalleled throughout the distribution industry.
