HRE-Free Neodymium Magnets: When Strength Meets Supply-Chain Stability

Allstar renews AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, and AS9120B certifications

Not every customer needs AS9100D on paper, but every customer benefits from what it takes to earn it. Allstar Magnetics has renewed its AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, and AS9120B certifications, the aerospace quality standards that require rigorous documentation, traceability, and process control at every step.

These certifications aren’t easy to get, and they’re not easy to keep. That’s the point. Whether or not your program requires AS9100D, it’s built into how we design, build, and deliver every product that leaves our shop. We don’t run two standards, one for certified work and one for everything else. It’s one standard, applied across the board, and it’s how we back up our promise of dependable performance.

Why space-grade magnetics matter in satellite bus power electronics

A single underperforming inductor can put an entire mission at risk. In orbit, magnetic components have to survive radiation, vacuum, extreme thermal swings, and the violence of launch — all while keeping a satellite’s power system stable and clean.

It’s not just the power subsystem that’s riding on getting this right, either. From communications to attitude control, the ripple effects of a poorly designed magnetic component can show up in places engineers don’t always expect. And as CubeSats and smallsats push for smaller, lighter, more efficient designs, the margin for error keeps shrinking.

Curious what it actually takes to build a magnetic component that can be trusted with a mission?
